-- Opening
Credits Scene
opens with two red flashes streaking onto the beach, forming into Shane and Hunter as they begin to spar. Sensei appears on
a nearby rock and watches as their training gets more and more intense. They pause for a moment and Shane smirks. “You
never heard of cutting your losses?” Hunter
barely has time to think about that before Shane is at him again, and they continue fiercely. Hunter pins Shane down and leans
over him. “What losses?” he asks. But
Shane grabs his ankle and flips Hunter to his back, and both recover and face each other. Shane rushes at Hunter and attacks
relentlessly, before Hunter finally shoves him back, grabbing his own arm painfully. “I thought we were just sparring!”
he says angrily. “Hey,”
Shane says. “If you can’t keep up, we can get my sister out here.” “You’re
straight comedy, Shane,” Hunter says humorlessly. Shane
sighs. “Competitive spirit is healthy . . .” “Dude
I was right in the middle of saying that!” Shane says, getting up. Hunter meets him. Shane
glares daggers at Hunter, who nods at him. “Good one.” They drop and begin to push, each speeding up to beat out
the other. -- At
Storm Chargers, a banner for Total Trek is hanging as the store bustles with activity. “Looks great,” Tori remarks.
“If you had surfing I’d be all over this Total Trek.” Dustin
finishes hanging the banner. “Oh yeah, that’d be fair, you blowing everyone out of the water?” “And
the problem with that is . . . ?” She smiles. “Guys,”
Kelly calls them over. “Check this course out.” She points to a large map. “We start at the skate park,
it’s a run to the motocross track, and then an urban climb to finish. You entering, Dustin?” He
raises his hands quickly. “I’m never getting on a skateboard again. I’ve still got bruises from last year.” Shane
and Hunter enter together, and Shane speaks. “Hey, you got an entry form for my challenged friend here?” Hunter
laughs a little. “Us? Together?” “You
got a better chance of seeing me on blade skates,” Shane says. “I
was just asking,” she says, as Tori and Dustin look slightly confused. She hands Hunter a form. “Well, you’re
the second one to sign up, Hunter.” “Who’s
first?” Hunter asks her. Shane
brushes off his shoulder before turning to leave the store. “You’re toast, dirt boy.” Tori
and Dustin watch them go. “And here we see alpha males in their natural habitat,” she says, amused. Dustin just
smiles. -- On
Lothor’s ship, he yawns from his throne, asleep or close. Marah and Kapri are decked out in boxing gear around a punching
bag, while the latest monster urges them on. They are less than enthusiastic. “I am so over this . . .” Marah
complains. “You
distract him,” Kapri says, hitting the bag effortlessly. “I’ll open the cargo door.” She stops and
goes over to Marah. (Big apologies, but I have NO idea what Bopparoo is saying half the time!!!) But for some reason
he showers them with a torrent of water, soaking them. “Do you have any idea how long it took me to get my hair right
this morning?” Kapri exclaims. “Hello!”
Marah adds. “My make-up!” Lothor
rolls his eyes. “I’m bored. We need a plan, I’m taking suggestions.” “I
know!” Marah says, rushing over. “The rangers, put them in a class with Bopparoo! They’d never last an hour!”
She giggles. Kapri joins her. “Was
that an actual idea that came from that pocket of air between your ears?” Lothor asks. “Good
one, Uncle,” Kapri says. Marah looks confused. “Sure . . .could work,” she says. Then she whispers to Marah,
“Your roots are showing.” Marah pushes her. “Well at least I can go to a salon! You’ll always be pathetic.”
“You
wanna piece of me?” Kapri asks. “You wanna piece of this???” They start to box pathetically, while Bopparoo
cheers them on. -- At
the moto track, Dustin is talking to Shane as he prepares his bike. “So, you gotta balance yourself on the bike, okay?
Not too far forwards, not too far back.” He taps Shane’s head. “Yo, Shane.” He looks up. “Have
you heard anything I’ve said?” “Look,”
Shane says easily. “All I need to know is how to beat Hunter.” “Dude,
have you seen him ride?!” Dustin asks. “He’s like, one step below Factory pro.” “Yeah,
yeah,” he says, putting on his helmet and starting up the bike. “Here goes.” Dustin just laughs, then Shane
takes off, heading straight into some bales of hay. -- Hunter
straps on a helmet and stands atop a skating ramp, heading down. He doesn’t get far before falling to the concrete.
Blake winces as he watches him, then goes over and helps him up. “So, what do you call that?” “I’m
just getting loose,” Hunter says, rubbing his back. “I
gotta beat this guy,” Hunter says. “I don’t care what I have to do.”
“My
advice to you,” Blake says. “Get a stunt double.” Hunter ignores him, skating off and falling once again.
-- Shane runs through the city
in the middle of the day, meeting up with Hunter doing the same. “Thought I smelled something,” he remarks. “It’s
called defeat,” Hunter says. “And by the way, since this thing is open to the public, no ninja tricks.” Shane
laughs slightly and is about to reply when they hear maniacal laughter from ahead and turn to see Bopparoo. “I’m
the Boxing Bopparoo!” he exclaims as they prepare to fight. He
says something else, then fires a blast of energy at the two, and they fall to the pavement. He boasts some more as they stand,
and Shane turns to Hunter, trying to repeat what he said. “Forget
it,” Hunter says. “It’s time to morph. Thunder Storm!” “What?”
Hunter asks. “Just
follow along and stay out of the way,” he says. Bopparoo fires at them again and they leap out of the way. “Now
it’s time to morph,” he tells Hunter. They morph together and call their weapons, facing Bopparoo. “Hey,”
Shane says. “Didn’t you see the signs? The zoo’s that way!” “I’m
flabbergasted!” Bopparoo says. “I’ll
get him!” Hunter says. “I
will!” Shane argues. They both leap at Bopparoo and he falls under their attack, but recovers and shoots at them again,
sending them flying back in a blast. Bopparoo
exclaims something again and Hunter stands slowly. “I’m getting tired of trying to understand this guy,”
he says. “I’m just plain tired,” Shane quips. “Bye bye Bopparoo.” He
fires at him. It has little effect and Bopparoo prepares his own attack.
Shane
raises his weapon again but Hunter stops him. “Hey, you already tried that.” “What
are you doing?” Shane asks angrily. “I said I’ll handle it!” “Bickering
boys,” Bopparoo says. “Ready to get blasted?” He
fires a blast of electricity at them and Hunter jumps ahead with his staff, blocking the force of it. “Let me handle
this, Thunder Style.” He heads forward and calls his staff to full power and attacks Bopparoo, who falls. Shane
joins him and watches as Bopparoo stands. “He who brawls and runs away—lives to brawl another day!” he says,
running off. “Hey!”
Shane calls after him. “What?”
Hunter asks. “Power
down,” he says. They both demorph. “Hey, you let him bail!” Shane exclaims. “I would’ve pounded
that pouch potato!” “This
is so lame,” Shane says, shaking his head. “I’m going for a run.” He leaves, and Hunter looks after
him. -- Back
at Lothor’s ship, Bopparoo is jumping around cheering himself, while the other three watch. “Can someone get him
to stop bouncing?” Lothor asks. “He’s making me carsick.” “Gladly,
sir,” Zurgane says. He puts his swords together and shoots a blast at Bopparoo. Bopparoo turns quickly and starts running
his mouth again. “But,
Uncle,” Kapri says. “He bodaciously boxed their butts.” Marah adds her own unintelligible description of
him. “That’s
it,” Lothor says. “The next person who uses a made-up word, has to put a dollar in the Made-Up Word Jar.”
He hands Kapri a plastic tub, then heads over to Bopparoo. “If you look on the bright side, Bopparoo did survive his
first attack.” “Yessiroo,”
he answers. “Maybe
if we send him back,” Lothor continues. “But with something . . . more.” “More
badful boxing gloves?” Marah asks. “Or some copious Kelzacks?” Kapri opens the jug and holds it out to her.
“What?” she asks. “Those are all words—look them up!” “Zurgane,”
Lothor says. “Oblige me!” Zurgane
shoots something at Bopparoo and his gloves turn to mace balls. Bopparoo says something unintelligible, and Marah and Kapri
both point to the jar. -- Hunter
and Shane are running through the forest together, jumping logs and swinging on branches, trying to beat each other out. Each
takes their turn at the lead, but they stay close, through the forest, then onto the beach. The
others watch on Cam’s computer at Ninja Ops. “Those guys are still at it,” Dustin remarks. “So,
let me get this straight,” Tori says. “There’s a kickboxing robot kangaroo bouncing around Blue Bay Harbor
and they’re out playing follow the leader?” Sensei
stands before the computer. “They must both learn that the best quality of a leader is to understand when to be a follower.” Dustin
pauses, then laughs a little. “Dude’s way deep, especially for a rodent.” -- “Wait,”
Hunter says breathlessly. “Did you just give me props?” “Hey,
don’t get all weird on me,” Shane says. “I’m just saying . . .” “That
maybe Sensei has a point?” Hunter asks. “The guy’s usually
pretty right-on,” Shane says. “That’s why he’s the teacher.” Shane
pauses. “Hey look, you got us now . . . All of us.” Hunter watches him carefully. “We look out for each
other,” he continues. “That’s the way it’s gotta be.”
Hunter
nods slowly, then smirks just a little. “I hear you.” Shane
slaps his leg. “Let’s go.” They run off. --
“Right,”
Hunter agrees. “Cam,”
Shane says into his morpher. In Ops, Cam looks up from his computer and the others pay mind. “The Kangaroo Clown’s
back for round 2. We need help.” Cam
nods. “Right.” He swivels his chair and turns to the other three, who line up. “Ready,” Tori
answers. They morph and appear beside Shane and Hunter at the yard. Bopparoo spouts off some crazy talk, then blasts them.
They hit a wall hard and fall to the ground. -- “Yes
sir!” he answers, heading off. They
gather around the computer again. “Hey Uncle,” Kapri says. “What about us? I mean, Bopparoo was our teacher.
Why can’t we go too?” He
looks at them. “Fine, go. At least I’ll have some peace and quiet around here.” -- Shane
is lying on the ground amid the smoke, and gets up angrily. “I’ve had enough of this!” They all combine
their weapons quickly and fire, but Bopparoo deflects both blasts and shoots them back. “What happened?” Shane
asks, standing. Hunter does the same. “Some
kind of shield,” he says. “I
did it!” Marah squeals from behind them, standing by Zurgane and Kapri. “The shield worked, how cool am I!” “How
lucky are you,” Kapri amends. “Great,”
says Tori. “The whole family’s here.” Hunter
falls back to where Shane already lies. “We need help!” he shouts. “Cam,”
Shane says. “What if there were a way for Hunter and I to combine our energies? Would that be enough to bounce the beam
back?” “We
could give it a go,” Hunter says. He speaks into his morpher. “Cam, can you draw the power from me?” “It’s
worth a try,” Cam says. “Here goes.” He types something in the keyboard. “I’m channeling it
directly into your ninja sword, Shane.” He hits the big button. Hunter shoots the energy
from his staff into Shane’s sword. “Got it,” Shane says. “Hope this works!” He stands and catches
the energy as Bopparoo shoots at him, holding it back with difficulty. Then he calls for Thunder Power and sends it all back,
blue electricity shooting through Bopparoo. He falls and they ready their combined weapons again. But
the others step in the way. “Not so fast,” Kapri says. “You thought her’s was good, try mine.”
She holds an arm out and an energy wall appears in front of them. “That
looks pretty strong,” Tori says. “What
now?” Shane asks. “What
if we combine all of our weapons?” Hunter brings up. Cam
watches on the computer as they celebrate. “Yes!” he says. “I have to admit, I’m pleasantly surprised.” “You
underestimated the power of their leadership,” Sensei says. -- “Oh
no!” Marah exclaims from the ship. “Our teacher’s toast.” “Let’s give them more bop till they drop,” Kapri says, getting out the
PAM. The Scroll of Empowerment descends and Bopparoo is revived. Cam
sends the zords and another battle ensues. They call the mini-zord and Shane and Hunter work together with it, forming a whole
new megazord and defeating Bopparoo again easily. “At
least I won’t have to put up with that monotonous marsupial,” Lothor says in relief. “He was starting to
make my skull ache. What is that horrible noise?!” Marah
and Kapri come dancing in, wearing pink dresses and holding hands. “It’s our new hobby!” Kapri exclaims.
“Clog dancing!” “It’s
from Ireland!” Marah says excitedly. They continue dancing around. “Why
can’t you two do something quiet?” Lothor asks, standing up. “Like yoga? I’ll pay for pilates! Can
you hear me? I’m not yelling just to hear myself yell, you know!” He sits back down as the Kelzacks swarm around
playing music and the girls continue mindless of him. Even Zurgane joins in the fun. -- At
Total Trek, Shane is on the skating ramp performing as well as ever, and Blake cheers from the sidelines beside Hunter. Then
cut to Hunter tearing up the track as always, Dustin and Shane celebrating as he flies by. “Nice!” Dustin shouts.
“Hunter’s rippin it up, man!” He and Shane clasp hands happily. They
step up, medals around their neck, as everyone cheers them. “Not bad,” Tori says, coming between them. “Hey,”
Shane says. “We’re trying to learnify, with great knowledgeness.” “What?”
she asks flatly. Tori looks at them. “At least it’s a start.” And as usual, Dustin
just smiles, alongside Blake, everyone happy that their new team is finally forming into one. -- |
